Brian Ball Discusses UVA's Efforts to Create Impact Across Virginia

Charlottesville, VA, September 28, 2018 - Secretary of Commerce and Trade Brian Ball visited Grounds on Friday to learn about the University's efforts to create impact across the Commonwealth. His visit was hosted by faculty and administrators from the Office of Economic Development, State and Government Relations, the Office of the Vice President for Research, the Licensing and Ventures Group, UVA Engineering, and the UVA Health System.

Tours of UVA makerspaces including the Link Lab, the Rapid Prototyping Lab, and the Mechatronics Lab allowed the Secretary to engage in the latest research in cyber physical systems, additive manufacturing, health technology, and more.
